Solin (ゾーリン), known in English as Zorin, is the third stag beetle-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot 2.
Description
Solin resembles Rokusho, but with several small changes to its design. Its face is replaced by a solid red visor, and its right arm has a large claw in the place of a sword. The left arm club also has numerous bolts sticking out of it, as opposed to Rokusho's three. Its parts have lower attack power in exchange for stronger armor, but its abilities remain otherwise unchanged when compared to Rokusho.
The name "Solin" comes from Solingen, a city in Germany that is famous for making swords. Both the city and Medarot's name are pronounced with a "Z" sound, hence the name being spelled Zorin in the English version.
In the games
In Medarot 2 and the remake Medarot 2 Core, Solin's parts can be obtained in the Kuwagata version by completing all of the Medalink Robottles. In Medarot 2 Core, it is also used by Dr. Hebereke alongside Bayonet and Beast Master.
In Medarot 2
Since this game listed both versions of Rokusho as KWG-0, Solin was given the model number KWG-1. It was changed in later games.
In Medarot R
Its model number is now KWG-2.
In Medarot 2 Core
Unlike in Medarot 2, its model number is still KWG-2 as in Medarot R.
In the anime
In episode 51 of the original Medarot anime, Metabee has a dream in which Rokusho leads an army of Solin against him and his army of Bayonets. All of them are defeated except for Metabee, who remains as the sole survivor before waking up.
