Medarot S: Unlimited Nova is a mobile game released on January 23, 2020 for Android and iOS.
Gameplay[edit]
Medarot S is a "Gacha" RPG where you play through a story mode while upgrading and unlocking new parts for your Medarots. It has a 3 vs. 3 battle system that plays very similarly to the main line Medarot RPGs. A PVP mode that allows you to battle against other players is expected to be added in March 2020.
Story and characters[edit]
You play as Arase Oosumi, a boy who has no prior experience with Medarots or Robottles. At the start of the game, he is approached by a mysterious girl named Hisaki Kaguya, who lends him her Medarot, a KXK-type called Cross Messiah (nicknamed Cross), in exchange for him taking her place in the Medalympic tournament.
Several main characters from previous Medarot games appear over the course of the story.
Continuity and placement[edit]
Like most crossover or "All-Stars" games, Medarot S is set in a brand new continuity separate from that of any of the previous games. For instance, Ikki Tenryou is shown to be the same age as Koishimaru Tensan and Azuma Amakura, when Medarot G and Medarot DS/Medarot 7 had portrayed him as a teenager and as an adult, respectively. Secondly, characters that appeared together before (such as the Medarot 8 characters in Chapter 2) do not appear to recognize each other.
