Stub

The RoboRobo Gang (ロボロボ団 Roborobo Dan), English name Rubberobo Gang, is a gang of thieves and the group antagonist of several Medarot stories.

The gang originally existed for Taiyo's "Ten Days of Darkness" plan, but even after the defeat of their original leader, the group's existence persisted over the years and were commonly used as pawns by several different antagonists throughout the series.

Their uniform consists in black rubber suits with yellow antennas, but after their defeat in the first game, the group experienced financial problems and the grunts needed to wear a different green uniform in Medarot 2, R and 3 and only returning to the iconic black uniform in Medarot 4. This fact, however, is ignored in Medarot 2 Core due to the influence of the anime.

As Select Corps is in charge to stop crimes involving Medarots, the RoboRobo Gang has become their sworn enemies.

In Medarot Navi, there's a similar group known as the Space RoboRobo Gang.

In Medarot 1

According to the game manual's the RoboRobo Gang has been engaging in petty Medarot-related crimes for years. While the Select Corps publically opposes it, the RoboRobos have successfully corrupted the organization from within, with every Select Corps lieutnants doubling as RoboRobo executives.

The group devised a plan called the "Alien Hoax" designed to make the populace believe that the RoboRobos are allied with Aliens. To this end, the group causes a number of mischief including scarring off beachgoers in the Harbor Town through fake shark sightings, disguising members as monkeys to annoy and steal from villagers in the Mountain Village and attacking the Medal Dig Site. However, Hikaru Agata coincidentally stumbles upon the group's operations and dismantles it, earning the ire of its leader Typhoon.

At the National tournament, Typhoon destroys the Medal of Hikaru's starter Medarot in a cheap shot and launch in motion his master plan: he fortifies the Select Headquarters to prevent aerial incursion and activates the "Rampage System", making every Medarot equipped with the Select Medal rampage indiscriminately. He also has an operative steal the Periscope to prevent outsiders from accessing the Select Headquarters: however, Hikaru finds the warehouse where it was stored and defeats the RoboRobo member guarding it. Using it to reach the Select Headquarters, Hikaru shuts down the Rampage System and defeats the RoboRobo executives under their real identity, including Typhoon. Typhoon is arrested and taken in by Select Corps officiers, however this defeat did not end the organization.

Generic RoboRobo members can be fought in random encouters. They most often use CoffinBat and always drop a RoboRobo Medal when defeated.

Executives

Typhoon - RoboRobo Gang's leader. His primary Medarot is HellPhoenix. Beast Master is his secret weapon, but it got out of control.

Reika - A RoboRobo Gang executive. Her primary Medarot is Yuchitang and later Auroraqueen.

Suzume - A RoboRobo Gang executive. His primary Medarot is Crow Tengu and later Propolis.

Inago - A child member of the RoboRobo Gang. His primary Medarot is Monkey Gong and later Maxsnake.

In Medarot 2 / Medarot 2 Core

Even after Typhoon's defeat and arrest, the gang continued to operate under new leadership. Following their loss in M1, the group faced financial difficulties, leading the grunts to wear inexpensive green uniforms, while only the leaders retained the classic black attire.

The gang managed to recover through an alliance with Dr. Hebereke, who funded them in exchange for their assistance in excavating the ancient ruins beneath Medaropolis. Milky also allied with them, driven by her peculiar desire to collect children, which aligned with the gang's plan to kidnap and recruit young members.

However, their schemes were thwarted by Ikki Tenryou and his friends. The conflict culminated in the defeat of Dr. Hebereke at their secret base on Medarot Island. In a final act of desperation, Hebereke triggered the base's self-destruction, forcing the gang members to flee, only to be captured and arrested by the Select Corps waiting at the entrance.

• Sakekaasu - The new leader of the gang. His primary Medarot is Darkness Mage (Kabuto) or Triple Gottsun (Kuwagata). "Sakekasu" is Japanese for sake lees, the residual yeast left over from brewing.
• Surume - The female leader, known for her strictness with the grunts. Her primary Medarot is Stone Mirror (Kabuto) or Circulis (Kuwagata). "Surume" is Japanese for cuttlefish.
• Salami - Leader of the children's division, he believes that children are more efficient than adults. His primary Medarot is Gentleheart. "Salami" is a cured sausage consisting of fermented and air-dried meat, typically pork.
• Shiokara - The second-in-command who hates children. His primary Medarot is Dashbutton (Kabuto) or Abyss Greater (Kuwagata). "Shiokara" is Japanese for salted fish entrails.
• Dr. Hebereke - The group's sponsor but secretly uses them to further his own plans. In his initial battles in Medarot 2, he uses common Medarots used by the RoboRobo Gang, such as Gaufbullet. However, his secret weapon is God Emperor, which eventually gets out of control. In the remake, besides God Emperor, he typically uses the duo Bayonet and Solin, and in the penultimate chapter, he starts using Beast Master. "Hebereke" means "drunk" or "tipsy" in Japanese.
• Milky - A magical girl who appears in several games to allow players to use communication service. Here, however, she collaborates with the gang in kidnapping children to recruit new members. She considers these children as part of her "collection." Her primary Medarot is Sunwitchy. Her name is a diminutive of "milk."

Additionally, the researcher working at Medarot Company who provides Ikki with the Mini-Handle, secretly helps Dr. Hebereke and the RoboRobo Gang by providing them with confidential company information. His latest creation is the Primity Baby.

In Medarot R

Medarot R is an alternate retelling of Medarot 2. The members are different. Their leaders are generally associated with colors.

In this continuity, after the events of Medarot 1, the group was rebuild by Medal God, who sought revenge for the rejection he faced in his youth. People disliked his unfriendly personality, while they idolized his younger brother despite him being weaker.

Medal God formed his own group of executives, none of whom returned from Medarot 2. He also received help from two Medal Hunters who pretended to be Phantom Retort and Retort Lady, as well as from Katekin Ten, a double agent working for Medarotters Corporation who provided all information to Medal God. The grunts continued to wear green uniforms for the same reason as in Medarot 2, but the black suits were completely discarded.

The group established their base in Omikuji Town, with the entrance at the Borone shop convenience store. Their main focus was on building a rocket below the school to travel to the Medal Galaxy first and claim all the glory for themselves. This ambition was why Katekin Ten decided to ally with the villains.

However, just like in Medarot 2, the group's plans were thwarted by Ikki Tenryou and his friends. With the help of Phantom Retort and Jick, they prevented the rocket from taking off, which would have resulted in the destruction of the school and the innocent people inside. The members were ultimately arrested by the Select Corps.

• Red Makko - He dresses like a pirate and his job is to steal any rare part for his collection or resell at higher prices. His primary Medarot is Kaizokuro.

• Green Pork - A master of disguise, he is generally a coward and dislikes Robottle, but can be easily provoked if someone makes fun of his designs involving pigs. His primary Medarot is Nessage and later Wind Cecil.

• Pink Duck - She usually works as a clerk at Borone shop and is extremely vain. Her primary Medarot is Seagaru.

• Silver Bat - He describes himself as the "highest leader"; Silver Bat has a large collection of medals, which he keeps and sleeps with in his coffin. He is able to hijack others' Medarots for his own use. His primary Medarot is Don Draculio and later Kiri Kinzam.

• Fake Retort - A medal hunter who pretends to be Phantom Retort and works for RoboRobo Gang. He usually uses the duo Bayonet and Solin, but later uses Crimson King as his main Medarot.

• Lady Fake Retort - A medal hunter who works for RoboRobo Gang. He pretends to be Lady Retort but is a man. He uses the duo Bayonet and Solin.

• Fake Hikaru - A robotic copy of Hikaru created from his Medarotter data.

• Medal God - Leader of the RoboRobo Gang. Naturally his primary Medarots are Beast Master and God Emperor.

• Katekin Ten - Initially part of the Medarotters Company, he became a traitor to ally with Medal God. He is the final boss of the game and his primary Medarot is Primity Baby.

In Medarot 3

Early in Medarot 3, the RoboRobo executives have been broken out of jail by a mysterious party. The group also acquires a mysterious device known as the MiniMini Machine, which shrinks those effected by it. The RoboRobos use it to cause various petty mischief around various places and engage in other activities, such as kidnapping one of the team in Omikuji Town's leg of the Medalympics and hold-upping a laboratory in Earth Mall in exchange for Medals.

The same members from Medarot 2 return in Medarot 3. In this installment, generic RoboRobo grunt primarily use the Medarot Onewheel.

As an adaptation of Medarot 2, the members in the anime are the same as those in the game, but some extra information is provided and they have different main Medarots.

• Sakekaasu - The premium leader, his real name is Sakenosuke Kasukabe. His primary Medarot is Shinsaber.
• Surume - The female leader, her real name is Rumi Takasu. Her primary Medarots are Seagaru and Sprytooth, both based on Chinese Zodiac.
• Sarami - The young leader, his real name is Mitsuo Sara. His primary Medarots are a trio based on Journey to the West: Gokudo, Hakkado and Sagodo.
• Shiokara - The tough leader, his real name is Raizou Shioka. His primary Medarot is Gobenkei.
• Okizuke - Sakekaasu's girlfriend in the anime who joins the gang in the final episode. Her primary Medarot is Belzelga. The name Okizuke come from a dish made with meat (more commonly with picked squid) marinated in soy sauce, and may include sake.
• Dr. Hebereke - The real leader. A giant Primity Baby is his final Medarot.
