Joe Suihan (ジョー・スイハン Jō suihan) is a character from the Medarot series who first appeared in the Medarot 1 manga.
He is the son of Jaw Suihan, a character from the first game, and takes his father's place in the manga adaptation, a detail also established in the first anime. Joe made his first canonical appearance in the games in Medarot 2, retaining the same role in the Medarot 2 Core remake.
Like his father, his primary Medarot is Teepee in all medias.
In the games[edit]
Medarot 2 / Medarot 2 Core[edit]
Joe Suihan, a Native American, is the son of Jaw Suihan, a Medarotter who participated in the National Tournament over ten years ago. By the time of Medarot 2, Joe works with his father on Medarot research. It is unclear if their research is related to the work on Medarot Island led by Dr. Hebereke.
Joe participates in the Medarot Island tournament as the second-to-last opponent Ikki Tenryou faces but ultimately loses the Robattle.
In the manga[edit]
In the anime[edit]
Approximately eight years before the anime's beginning, Joe Suihan took part in the now-forgotten Robattle World Tournament. He emerged as one of the top three Medarotters globally, alongside Hikaru Agata and Tawarama, witnessing firsthand the horrors of the Ten Days of Darkness.
In the current Robattle World Tournament, Joe leads Team America as one of its three representative Medarotters. He uses a Native American-type Medabot called Teepee, which has the ability to teleport during battles, allowing him to evade Metabee's Medaforce. However, he was unable to avoid the unexpected Medaforce attack from Smilodonad.
Initially, Joe held a grudge against Hikaru, believing him to be the cause of the infamous Ten Days of Darkness that began during the tournament finals eight years ago. Upon discovering it was a misunderstanding, Joe joins forces with Ikki, Hikaru, and Tawarama to confront Dr. Hebereke.
