KLN-series Medarots are one of two series used by rival characters in the Medarot games, STG being the other. This series of Medarots is based upon the king lion family of big cats. They appear in Kuwagata Version games, thwarting the player's KWG-model starter Medarot.

Medarotters known for using KLN-series as their primary Medarots are Kouji Karakuchi, Victor, Hikaru Agata, Ginkai, Kohaku Himuro and Ikki Tenryou.

Series Basics[edit]

Aesthetics[edit]

KLN-series Medarots are mostly yellow and brown in color. Their heads have protrusions or flourish to replicate a lion's mane. Other feline attributes such as ears, tails and paws are present, though not to the degree of CAT-series models like Peppercat.

Abilities[edit]

Designed for rapid assaults against KWG-series Medarots, KLN-models can deploy speed boosts using their head parts. Their right arms feature a powerful semi-automatic rifle while their left arms mount rapid-fire gatling weapons; one could call them "left-handed" compared to most other Medarots. Their choice of legs is bipedal, though they appear to be reverse-jointed to aid in quick movement.

The only known Medachange-capable model is Unitris. It can deploy wheels from its limbs but sees no changes in its attacks.

Examples[edit]

KLN-0 Warbonnet[edit]

This series' debut model is the signature Medarot of Koji Karakuchi in Medarot 2. First encountered in an early chapter, Koji's Warbonnet is a frequent opponent throughout the game.

KLN-1 Unitris[edit]

The Medachange-capable upgrade to Koji's Warbonnet appears in Medarot 3 and 4. It can deploy four wheels to quickly dash about indoor spaces.

Kratzklinie[edit]

Seen in Shingata Medarot.

KLN02-M Maasai Moran[edit]

A brand-new KLN-model appears in Medarot DS, wielding a staff and sporting a sharp red-on-black color scheme. In DS's Kuwagata Version, Maasai Moran is used by rival Kohaku Himuro; the tie-in manga instead sees Ikki Tenryou use one named "Menoji", acting like his old Metabee. Its head can set traps, more closely matching STG-types' Anti-Shooting Traps.

KLN03-M Maasai Laibon[edit]

From Medarot 7 comes a variant of Maasai Moran. While identical in shape, Laibon's colors more closely resemble Warbonnet's brown than Moran's black and red.

KLN04-M Musketeerado[edit]

From Medarot S comes Musketeerado, a powerful Shooting Medarot that can set Protect Traps, being able to damage KWG types like Monjiro. Its shooting weapons are similar to Warbonnet's, with a fighting style comparable to Gun-Knows, being able to pierce parts. Its right Arm is a Railgun, able to do heavy damage and pierce parts, and its Left Arm is a Shotgun weapon.
