The Periscope (せんぼうきょう) is a recurring item in the Medarot games. It allows users to travel underwater to reach otherwise unaccessible areas. In most of the games it is featured in beside Medarot 1 and Shingata Medarot, it requires assembling a specific Medarot to work.
In the games
Medarot 1
After talking to the scientist who gives the Mini-Handle and Wings of Wind in the Medarot Company building, he mentions forgetting where he put the Periscope.
It turns out that the Periscope was stolen by a RoboRobo Gang member as it is the only way to access the otherwise sealed-off Select Headquarters. After repairing his starter Medal, Hikaru finds the grunt in a warehouse at the Stadium and defeats him, acquiring the Periscope. It can then be use at the bridge in Downtown to reach the headquarters.
After the main storyline is completed, the Periscope can be used in two more spots:
- In the cave at the Harbor Town, the Periscope can be used at the left of the leftmost bridge on the first floor to reach Takong.
- It can be used near the dam at the Mountain Village to enter the dam.
Medarot 2
Using it requires assembling Clear Diving.
