Kawamura

Kawamura (カワムラー, spelled as カワムラ in Medarot 1) is a minor character featured in Medarot 1 and Medarot 2/Medarot 2 Core. He is a middle-aged man with an inflated sense of self-importance.

In the games

Medarot 1

Kawamura is part of an optional event that can be triggered during the first attack on the Select Headquarters. If Hikaru tries to enter the Mini-mart in the Downtown area, Kawamura appears and challenge him to a Robattle. If Hikaru accepts his challenge, he gets scared and runs away, dropping a Damerot. If Hikaru refuses, he scoff and run away without dropping the Damerot.

Due to a programming oversight, Kawamura will appear every time the player enters or leave the Mini-mart during the availability window of the event.

Medarot 2

Kawamura reappears in an event on Medarot Island after completing the main storyline. If Ikki observes the foutain in the center plaza, Kawamura drives in and brags that his success in life has allowed him to purchase a new car. He asks Ikki if he's jealous, but Ikki does not recognize him. Furious, he asks Ikki if he's ever seen him on TV, to which Ikki can answer "Yes" or "No". Whatever answer is chosen, Kawamura starts a Robattle with three Magical Pierrots.

After being defeated, Kawamura drives off but crashes. If Ikki answered "Yes" to his question, he is awarded the item " K's Autograph", which can be sold to a man for $50 by checking the fountain again. If "No" was chosen, he gets the item "Spedabot", which can be sold to a girl in the Strawberry Heart shop for $100.

Medarot 3

After completing the main storyline, Kawamura appears at the second auction held at the Medarotters Shop in the Under-Shell. A complete set of the old Metabee/Rokusho is up for auction, and Ikki is eager to win it due to nostalgic memories. However, Kawamura outbids him with an enormous offer that Ikki can't hope to surpass, leaving him disappointed.

Later, on the first floor of the shop, Kawamura offers Ikki the set—but only on one condition: a Robattle. He challenges Ikki to defeat him using Smilodonad/Warbonnet, which Ikki had obtained at the Medaropolis auction.

Ikki wins the battle, and Kawamura, visibly frustrated, hands over the complete set before leaving the shop.

• He is named after Naoya Kawamura, main director of the series until Medarot 5. The character was included in the game at the request of the sponsors of Medarot.
