Shamojiel (シャモジール Shamojīru, named Rolando for his first appearance the English dub of the anime) is a character from Medarot 1. He is the Spanish representative of the International Robattle Championship. His primary Medarot is Red Matador.

Shamojiel is the second opponent in the National Tournament, using a team of three Red Matadors.

Shamojiel was a finalist in the previous year's World Robattle tournament, facing off against Victor. While his Red Madator initially defended against Warbonnet's salvo, Victor managed to calculate an angle to attack his head and easily defeated him, becoming champion. While Rintaro explained the nature of the forgotten tournameent, Shamojiel was briefly shown as one of its participant ("Enter: Rintarou!).
Shamojiel participated at the current year's World Tournament as leader of Team Spain but was defeated by Team Sweden. After his defeat, he tried to propose to Siri with a ring, but was coldly rejected. ("Beware of Idols!")
