Kama Goemon (カマゴエモン), known in English as Kamafive, is an Ishikawa Goemon-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot R.

Description[edit]

Kama Goemon is a Medarot modeled after Ishikawa Goemon, a famous thief from the Warring States period of Japanese history. While little is known for certain about his life apart from his failed attempt to assassinate Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the figure of Ishikawa Goemon has risen to folk hero status in Japan, and many plays and stories have been written about him.

Each of Kama Goemon's parts names reference some common aspect of the life and/or legend of Ishikawa Goemon.

まげミサイル Mage Missile: The mage is a type of topknot, Goemon is commonly depicted with his hair in this style.
きせるスター Kiseru Star: A kiseru is a type of Japanese pipe with metal ends sometimes used as a weapon by criminals, Goemon is frequently depicted wielding one.
せんりょうポッド Senryo Pod The part is modeled after a box for storing koban coins, which Goemon is said to have stolen and distributed to the poor.
かまゆデット Kamayu Debt: Kamayude is a form of execution where the condemned is boiled to death in a large iron pot, or kama. Goemon was infamously executed this way.
