Samurai (サムライ) is a samurai-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description

Samurai is a Medarot modeled after a Japanese samurai warrior, complete with bright red armor, a large crested helmet, and a distinctively moustached face plate. A powerful offense-oriented Medarot, Samurai attacks with dual wielded beam-katanas that can slice through the opponent's armor.

In the games

Samurai is a bipedal Medarot notable in all of its game appearances for its high attack power. Its beam swords have been handled in various different ways depending on the game.

In Medarot 1, 2, and R, its head and arm actions are Beam attacks using the physical Strike and Berserk skills (a combination not found on any other Medarot). In its Medarot 4 appearance, these were changed to standard Shoot and Snipe Beam attacks, while Medarot 2 Core changed it to use standard Sword attacks instead.

In Medarot 7 and Dual, Samurai is given the new Beam Sword attack on its arms, which was most likely created specifically for it. Its head part action was also changed to Full Charge, allowing it to instantly fill its Charge gauge once.

In Medarot 1, 2, R, and 2 Core, Samurai's parts have the Fighting attribute, making it highly compatible with the Kuwagata Medal.

In Medarot 1

Its parts can only be obtained by winning battles with the school principal, who uses a team of two Samurai. There are only two chances to fight him per game, so it is impossible to complete the set in a single playthrough. This isn't the case in the Perfect edition as Hikaru and Metabee can fight the Principal and Nanetsu multiple times.

In Medarot 2

Samurai's parts are not normally obtainable in Medarot 2, and must be transferred over from Medarot 1.

In Medarot Cardrobottle

Samurai is a Kuwagata Version exclusive, with Beast Master obtained instead in the Kabuto version.

After the tutorial, you can get the Leg Part Commander from the player's dog if you remember to return home.

Also, after reaching Rank B, go back home, talk to the dog and get the Arm Part Beam Saber.

Next, after reaching Rank A, go back home, talk to the dog and get the Arm Part Samurai Saber.

Finally, after wining the Tournament, go back home, talk to the dog and get the Head Part Samurai Blast

Do these steps above to get Beast Master in the Kabuto Version.

In Medarot R

Is obtainable from the Part Collection by fighting メダロッター3 that is ranked opponent number 66.

Robattle 3D

Samurai is one of the Medabots featured in Robattle 3D.

In Medarot 2 Core

Samurai appears again, this time as a Medarot used by waitresses in Medaropolis.

In Medarot 7

Its model number is now SAM00.

In the manga

In Medarot 1

In Medarot 1, the principal of Hikaru's school has a Samurai named Nantetsu (南鉄) as his partner.

In the anime

Samurai features in episode 18 of the original anime series, again as the school principal's partner Medarot. Though an older model, he is still combat capable, and teams up with Metabee to defeat a pair of Rubberrobo Medabots.
