Select Corps

The Select Corps (セレクト隊 Serekuto-tai) is a security maintenance organization or police organization that deals with incidents related to Medarots. It's their duty to establish order so that Medarots aren't misused. Due to this RoboRobo Gang became their sworn enemies.

However, the group is not without flaws as corrupt members were the first leaders of RoboRobo Gang, creating an ironic connection between the two groups; and many of its members are lazy or incompetent, often stealing for themselves the merit of cases that were actually solved by people like Ikki Tenryou.

Their headquarters are in large cities such as Medaropolis and Meda City, and there are branches in various places.

Its members typically use dinosaur type Medarots like Attack-Tyranno, Air-Ptera and Land-Brachio.

In the games

Medarot 1

In the instruction manual, the Select Corps is described as having been fighting the RoboRobo Gang for years. Hikaru's father Beisuke works as an architect for the under-construction Select Corps HQ.

After Hikaru acquires his starter Medal, he goes to his town's Select Corps office to return it but is advised to keep it by the officier. Before heading to the Harbor Town, Hikaru can return to the Select office to be given five RoboRobo Medals.

Later, the Select Corps HQ comes under attack by the RoboRobo Gang. Hikaru enters the premise and drives off the attackers, defeating the RoboRobo executive Suzume. Later, Hikaru fends off another RoboRobo attack at the Digging Site, getting some assistance from Select Corps officiers. After he defeats Typhoon, Hikaru is advised to go to his local Select office to receive a reward for his deed. If he accepts the first offer, he receives a Female Tinpet (the first opportunity to get one in his advance). If not, he receives a Male Tinpet.

Medarot 1

• Taiyo - Former Select Corps captain, revealed himself to be a corrupt member and leader of the RoboRobo Gang.

• Minori - Former Select Corps member, revealed herself to be a corrupt member and executive of the RoboRobo Gang.

• Kakashi - Former Select Corps member, revealed himself to be a corrupt member and executive of the RoboRobo Gang.

• Daichi - Former Select Corps member, revealed himself to be a corrupt member and executive of the RoboRobo Gang.

Medarot 2

• Awamori - A Captain from Select Corps, he is actually a lazy man who rarely does his work. Every time Ikki defeats RoboRobo Gang, Awamori appears to take credit for himself.

• Tokkuri - The Vice-Captain. He's more serious in his work but needs to accept Awamori's ideas for hierarchy reasons.
