Haikara-Mate (ハイカラメイツ) is a schoolgirl-type Medarot that appears in Medarot 8.

Description

Haikara-Mate is a female schoolgirl-type hover Medarot modeled after an taisho period schoolgirl. Its parts were modeled to look like a girl wearing a Hakama, which was the schoolgirl's uniform in the taisho period. Its composition purposefully combines the characteristics of Sailor-Multi and Blazermate in a single body. Its right arm performs similarly to medarots like Heal Angel, and both the heating and cooldown are average.

It also has the ability to Medachange. When medachanged, it takes on the appearance of the Hanami event at night, also called the Night Cherry Blossom (Yozakura). Its umbrella closes and transforms into a saber-like energy sword. Its Hakama opens and turns something like wings, thus revealing the pattern of cherry blossoms and twigs in the night sky contained inside it, and a Hakama skirt expands from her legs taking its place. After the medachange, Haikara-Mate becomes a melee-type bipedal medarot similar to Noel.

The names of the parts are named after spring and cherry blossoms.

The name of head part is Zensen which mean Front, coming from cherry blossom front or sakura zensen (桜前線), which refers to the advance of cherry blossoms across Japan.

The name of right arm part is Bruum which seems to be an inflection of the Japanese word for Bloom (ブルーム).

The name of left arm part is Ranman which mean Full Bloom (爛漫, らんまん). The left arm part ability is Gatling (Medarot 8 and 9), A shooting attack.

The name of leg part is Chill Chill, can also be written as Tyltyl which is the name of one of the siblings who serve as the main character in the 1908 play, The Blue Bird (Fr: L'Oiseau bleu), written by Belgian playwright and poet Maurice Maeterlinck.
