Flux (status effect)
Flux (変動, lit. fluctuation), or Movement in the English game releases, is a negative status effect found in all Medarot games up to Medarot DS.
Effects
The Flux status can be inflicted by the Virus or Bug attacks, or from the effects of certain Medaforces. It lowers the Medarot's functional success rate, making it more likely to fail actions and miss with its attacks.
The status effect will cure itself if enough time passes, but it can also be cured by using Flux Cancel (in Medarot 1, 2, and R) or Status Clear (in later games).
Medarot 7 onwards
In Medarot 7 and later games, the Flux status was replaced with individual status effects for Virus (ウィルス) and Bug (バグ), inflicted by their respective attacks. Rather than lowering the target's success rate, they now have a one-time chance of causing the Medarot's next attack to fail.
