This file is a sprite image of a character from [[]]. It will be used on pages relating to the subject.

Medapedia claims no ownership of this image. Its use on this wiki constitutes fair use.

Description[edit]

This template should be used with all overworld and full-body character sprites from the video games. It places the above box in the image's description, as well as automatically categorizing it. You need to enter the name of the game the sprite is from, since it categorizes the image under "Category:Character sprites from (name goes here)".

These do not require sources if they're taken directly from the game (either from the game files or by using an emulator or capture device). For face portraits used in dialogue, use Template:Charaportrait-fairuse instead. For screenshots of 3D character models, please use Template:Gamescreen-fairuse.

To use this template, type {{charasprite-fairuse|Game the sprite is from}} in the summary box when uploading the image.

For example, if you're uploading sprites from Medarot 2, put {{charasprite-fairuse|Medarot 2}} and it will say Medarot 2 and categorize the image under "Character sprites from Medarot 2". (You can also add/change it afterwards by editing the image's page, but please try to get it right the first time!)
