A-Gedama (ア・ゲダマー), known in English as Agadama, is a tanuki-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description

A-Gedama takes much of its form from the Japanese raccoon dog, particularly its deified youkai counterpart the bake-danuki. A number of its features make reference to a tanuki's eight luck-bringing traits; in particular, the hat (on its head) protects from bad weather, the eyes help inform good decisions, the testicles (its rounded hammer hands) symbolize financial luck and the big belly (on both body and leg Parts) represents calm decisiveness.

In the games

In Medarot 2 Core

Roaming bipedal Medarot's in the Castle and RoboRobo HQ at the Medarot Island has this Medarot and will use it to Robottle the player.

In Medarot 9

A-Gedama makes a return in Medarot 9, where its model number has been updated to TAN00.

Like before, it has bipedal legs, a Perfect Guard action on its head and Hammer attacks on both arms. Its legs now have the "Hidden Ammo" (かくしだま) ability, which increases its head part uses by +1 for every unused heavy part slot. Because its legs can support 2 heavy parts and only its head part is considered heavy, this means A-Gedama's head has 3 uses instead of 2 when it's used as a complete set.

A-Gedama is the Medarot used by Kamekichi, who can be found in the south harbor area. Its parts can be won by battling him repeatedly. (Press Y while standing next to the person to battle.)
