TL/DR: I'm just a fan of the series that like to rip, document and make stuff.
"So why did you make a Medapedia account?"
I noticed people got more active regarding to Medarot stuff (like the recent manga translations for example), I felt i should stop lurking and start uploading the crap I make rather than just keeping the content for myself rotting on my HDD.
"So what can you contribute with? Do you understand Japanese?"
I may not understand Japanese but it won't stop me from brute forcing my way through things using trial and error and machine translations. I can mainly contribute with ripping stuff and in a nice clean way and contribute with mild page edits.
The stuff I'm working on currently are:
- 1. Writing a walkthrough of Medarot 1 Perfect Edition for the Bandai Wonderswan. (On hold.)
- 2. Ripping all part set sprites from Medarot 1 Perfect Edition. (On hold.)
- 3. Ripping all Medarotch sprites from the toy line mobile app version. (Done for the moment.)
- 4. Making clean (transparent) high resolution images of all Medarot DS models showing off their front, back, front-right and back-left. (In progress.)
I know Tobias is already working on accurately translating a Japanese one, but I felt it would be quite a waste if I simply abandon mine when It might be useful for someone out there until Tobias one is completed. If you wanna give it a read, check it out here: [1] (But if you are a purist you might wanna stay away from it, as all my mistakes and machine translated stuff will make you cry.)
"Why are you butchering the English language in everything you write?"
English isn't my native language but don't worry, I'll try to stay away from making to huge chucks of text on the wiki itself, and mainly stick to uploading files and doing smaller text edits.
"You're doing it wrong"
I'm completely new to wiki stuff, so pleas bare with me as I'll try my best to "git gud". If I don't cite any sources on where I got the upload from, it's because I ripped it myself.
