Horuma Rin (Japanese: ほるまりん or ほるま りん) is the original creator of the Medarot franchise and the author of the main manga series that ran in Comic BomBom from 1997-2003.

In addition to creating the overall concept and setting, he designed most of the characters and Medarots that appear in the series (specifically for the first 3 games, DS, 7, Dual, and 8, and a handful from the other games).

From 2007-2008, he wrote a short doujinshi series called Meda 2043 under the pseudonym "Horu0rin" (ほる○りん) as an unofficial continuation of the manga. When Medarot DS was announced in 2009, he became the official president of the in-universe "Medarot Company" and started a blog on the official Medarot website. The blog features posts about Medarot-related news and information on the design process, in addition to posts about his personal projects and everyday life.
