Kasumi Asano the main protagonist of Medarot Navi. He is the last protagonist before Medarot DS to own a KBT-0 Metabee, and one of the first not to have a Starter Medarot that is a KBT Series or KWG Series Medarot.
Kasumi's adventure begins with him building his first Medarot --- Windclap, after activating his Medarotch, he is invited by his childhood friend Hiyori to see Shiden Murasame, but Kasumi refuses as it isn't a Medarot. When he leaves, he is caught by the coward Mizore and the idiot Goutetsu. The duo taunt Kasumi and goad him into fighting them, not realizing that they gave Kasumi and Far East the strategy to beat them. They knock Far East down and Mizore steals his Medal, and because of that Kasumi is without a partner for a while. Hearing a mysterious voice, Kasumi goes to the Abanoned School, and falls through a hole in the floor. Turning on Hiyori's flashlight, he sees a a strange Medal with a beetle larva / stag beetle larva
