Gato Alpar
Gato Alpar (ガートアルパル) is a Margay-type female Medarot added in Medarot S. Margays are a type of wild cat native to Central and South America. The name "Gato Alpar" is probably a pun on the Spanish word "Alpargatas" which are a kind of slipper-like shoe, combined with "Gato," the spanish word for cat.
Description
Gato Alpar is a bipedal medarot designed as a combination of a cat and a girl in a maid dress. The dress, head, and tail are in a tan and brown tabby pattern with green eyes and a green ribbon on the brown neck collar, while the legs appear to be wearing tall brown stockings and white and tan boots with brown soles. The tail is very long and tan, with brown stripes on the half further from the body, and has a ball on the end. The forearms are large cylinders with tan on the backs and white on the front and inner side, with four claw-like extensions at the front edge, but the front surface has a circle with a glowing green cat paw pattern on it from which the hands fire their attacks.
Gato Alpar's part functions in Medarot S are:
Part | Name | Type | Action |
---|---|---|---|
Head: | Imitar | Shooting | Suction |
Right arm: | Mano Gato | Shooting | Break |
Left arm: | Brazo Gato | Shooting | Break |
Legs: | Luz Pierna | Bipedal | Battle Dance |
Its parts are all named in Spanish. The head part, "Imitar," means Imitate or Mimic, probably referencing the term "copycat," and the legs, "Luz Pierna," translate to "Light Foot" though the meaning is somewhat different than the term "Light-footed" that it was probably intended to reference. The arms simply mean "Cat Hand" and "Cat Arm"
Gato Alpar is the first medarot to have a part with the Suction Action, a shooting attack that pulls the opponent that it hits immediately to the Active Line.
In Medarot S
It's the partner of Nozomi Hagoromo (羽衣 ノゾミ). It's name is Luna(ルナ).
