CoffinBat (コフィンバット) is a bat-type Medarot found in the original Medarot game.
Description
CoffinBat resembles a black and green bat, with wings on its shoulders, squinty eyes and large ears. Its name comes from the coffin-shaped pieces that make up its flight-type legs. In battle, it can release damaging high-frequency sound waves from its hands.
In its official art and in the manga, CoffinBat has a large cross symbol on the front coffin on its legs. This is absent in both of its game sprites, but appears again on its 3D model in Medarot R.
In the games
CoffinBat is a flying Medarot that uses Wave attacks to slow its enemies. Its parts have the Bind attribute, making it most compatible with the Kraken Medal (and not the Bat Medal as one might expect). This makes CoffinBat the only bat-type Medarot in the series that doesn't attack using Anti-Air.
In Medarot 1
The RoboRobo Gang uses CoffinBat as their most common Medarot. CoffinBat's parts can be obtained from random battles, or bought from a convenience store in the downtown (まちなか) area.
In Medarot 2
CoffinBat's parts are not normally obtainable in Medarot 2, and must be transferred over from Medarot 1. It was instead replaced by the new BAT-type, Goufbaret.
CoffinBat was not included in the Medarot 2 Core remake.
In the manga
In Medarot 1
The RoboRobo Gang attacks with an army of CoffinBats in one of the first chapters.
