A Medabot (メダロット medarotto, Medarot in japanese) is a mechanical fictional being from the japanese Medarot series, known overseas as Medabots. These beings are medium-sized robots mainly used for robattling, this is, making these robots battle between theirselves as a sport, but they also have other uses.

A Medabot is composed of six parts total. A tin-pet, a medal, and four medaparts: one head, two arms and one pair of legs. Each of these components will affect overall the behaviour of the Medabot.

Tin-pet

The tin-pet is the main skeleton of a Medabot and will determine whether the Medabot can wear male or female medaparts. It also seems to affect if the medal acts in a masculine or a femenine way.

Medal

The medal is the soul of the Medabot. It will determine its personality, how strong the Medabot is and how compatible is it to its medaparts.

Medaparts

The medaparts will determine what the Medabot is capable of. In battle, it will determine what attacks it can use and in what kind of terrain it moves better. There are four medaparts a Medabot must wear in order for it to be completely operative.

The head medapart is where the medal is stored. So, if the head of a Medabot ceases its functions, the medal will eject and the Medabot won't be operable anymore. In a battle, the head is the only one that posseses limited attacks.

The arm medaparts, left arm and right arm, will determine the other two attacks a Medabot can perform. These parts can perform attacks as long as they're active, or not blocked by another Medabot's attack, and as long as the Medabot itself is operative.

The leg medaparts will determine how fast a Medabot is (even when this speed can also be determined by the medapart in use, for example, when a Medabot using a laser attack is charging it). It will also determine in what terrain the Medabot moves better and worse.

For a medachange to be performed, all of the medaparts must be operative or the medachange won't work. Also, all of the medaparts must belong to the same Medabot.
