Kako Moyai (カコーモヤイ), known in English as Moai, is a moai-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot 2.
Description
Kako Moyai's design is based on a moai, or Easter Island head. Its entire head and chest area are replaced by a large moai face with red eyes, while its shoulders represent the ears of the statue. Its leg parts allow it to float above the ground or rest on three legs like a tripod. In-battle, Kako Moyai's role is mainly defensive, with its main feature being its ability to neutralize gravity-based attacks.
Its name probably comes from the Japanese word kako (過去), meaning "the past", and "Moyai" (モヤイ), the name of a famous moai-style statue in Tokyo. Its name was simplified to Moai in the English version of Medarot 2 Core.
In the games
Kako Moyai is a hover-type Medarot whose sole function in battle is Negate Gravity. Although incapable of attacking on its own, any Medarots equipped with its head or arm parts become immune to Press and Break attacks.
Its parts have the Negate attribute, making them most compatible with the Ghost Medal.
