Propolis (プロポリス) is a bee-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description

Propolis resembles a bee, with an insectoid head, stingers on its arms, and wing-like pieces on its shoulders. Attacks from its stingers can interfere with the opponent's systems, reducing their ability to aim.

Propolis's name comes from a resinous mixture of the same name collected by honey bees. The name may also be a play on "police" (ポリス), seeing as it is a Medarot commonly used by the Select Force in Medarot 1.

In the games

Propolis is a flying Medarot that specializes in Bug attacks, which can inflict the Flux status effect to lower the opponent's accuracy. Its attacks are fairly accurate, but also lacking in power.

Propolis's parts have the Flux attribute, making it highly compatible with the Snake Medal.

In Medarot 1

Propolis is the sole user of Bug attacks in Medarot 1, and one of the two Medarots in the game capable of causing the Flux status (the other being Maxsnake).

Its parts can be obtained from random battles, or bought from the convenience stores in the Mountain Village and Select Headquarters.

In Medarot 2

Propolis's parts are not normally obtainable in Medarot 2, and must be transferred over from Medarot 1. Its role as a Bug attack specialist was instead filled by Flat Steak.

In Medarot R

Is obtainable from the Part Collection by fighting やぶいしゃ (opponent number 35) and ちょうろう (opponent number 28).

In Medarot 2 Core

Propolis is only ever encountered once (twice in the Japanese version), used by Harvey in Fuuyun Fortess, and you only have a 1/12 chance of getting any of its parts.
