Turbulent (タービュレント) is a Medarot based on Sakamoto Ryoma that first appeared in Medarot 7.
Description
Turbulent is based on Sakamoto Ryoma, a notable historical figure from Japan's Bakumatsu period. Turbulent's design is that of a dark-haired man dressed in long sleeves and samurai armor, with an "X" pattern for a face (to evoke squinting eyes). It is an all-around attacking Medarot, with a 19th century-styled revolver attached to the sleeve of its right arm and a katana on its left. Its abilities make it similar to Shinsaber, which is a Medarot based on the Shinsengumi (who hunted Ryoma for his political actions).
Turbulent's part names are derived from famous quotes from Sakamoto Ryoma (hover over for romanized text):
Parts: | クヨ2シテチャ(カ) イカンゼヨ(シユキ) ココロハイツモ タイヘイヨウゼヨ |
---|---|
Quote: | くよくよしてちゃ イカンぜよ 心はいつも 太平洋ぜよ |
English: | You mustn't worry; your heart must be like the Pacific ocean. |
The "chaka" in its right arm part name is the sound of readying a gun, and "Yoshiyuki" in its left was the name of Ryoma's sword.
