Maasai Moran (マーサイモラン) is a lion-type Medarot who first appears in the Medarot DS manga and as part of Medarot DS.

Description

Maasai Moran is based on lions. However he is also based on the Maasai, an african ethnic group. The maasai have warriors named moran, hence his name.

A Vitchua is a fierce lion who appears in the mythology of the maasai of Kenya [1], while Ngorongoro, Nakuru and Serengeti are well known places in Kenya.

Maasai Moran's attacks are almost the same of any KLN-type, except for his head, which works as a trap, much like STG-types, instead of an Auxiliary Charge.

In the games

In Medarot DS

He is owned by Kohaku Himuro in the Kuwagata version.

In the manga

In Medarot DS

He is owned by Ikki Tenryou, who nicknames him Menoji (めのじ). He behaves like another Medarot seen before.
