Sailormate (セーラーメイツ) is a schoolgirl-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.
Description
Sailormate is a basic female Medarot modeled after a schoolgirl wearing a sailor style school uniform, or sailor-fuku. It attacks with guns mounted on its wrists, and its head contains sensors for analyzing battle situations.
It often appears as Kirara's signature Medarot.
In the games
Sailormate is a bipedal Medarot with a Scan action in its head and Gatling and Rifle attacks on its right and left arms, respectively.
Unusually for Medarots in the earlier games, its right arm attack is a heavy Snipe attack, while its left is a lighter Shoot attack with fewer penalties after attacking. Its arms and legs have the Shooting attribute, making it most compatible with the Kabuto Medal.
In Medarot 1
Sailormate is Kirara's main Medarot, and the player can easily obtain its parts by battling her in the park after obtaining a second Tinpet. It can also be encountered in random battles with high school girls, or purchased from the import store in the shopping district area.
In Medarot 2
Sailormate's parts are not normally obtainable in Medarot 2, and must be transferred over from Medarot 1. It was replaced by the new SLR-type, Sailor-Multi.
Sailormate does have a small cameo in the game as a Medarot on display in the museum attached to Dr. Medarot's lab. It is described as an older version of Sailor-Multi that is no longer sold in stores.
In Medarot 2 Core
In Medarot 2 Core, Sailormate is once again obtainable and can be found in random battles with high school girls.
The museum still has a Sailormate on display as an older discontinued model despite them being relatively common in the game.
In the manga
In Medarot 1, Kirara's has a Sailormate named Alumi (アルミ) as her partner Medarot.
In the anime
Sailormate appears in episode 44 of the original anime series as a Medarot used by Team Sweden in the World Robottle Championship.
