Smilodonad is Kouji Karakuchi's Medarot. He is not much of a talker, usually only speaking when spoken to or when it is extremely important. He is a strong contender. He received training from the Space Medafighter X to learn a special ability with its Flexor Sword part, named the Shadow Sword. During the Robottle with the U.S.A. Team, Smilodonad gained the ability to use the Medaforce, namely Spiral Bolt. This led some to believe his Kuwagata Medal was a rare one, however after the studies Dr. Akihabara ran, his conclusions were his Medal was a clone one. It is never truly explained how Smilodonad could use the Medaforce, though. Dr. Akihabara had a theory that Smilodonad might have had some ancestral connections to the rare medals giving him the Medaforce but this is just a theory. However, this might have something to do with the fact any Medal can use different Medaforces in the games.

Smilodonad (スミロドナッド), known in English as Sumilidon, is a sabertooth tiger-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot 2. Who, alongside Warbandit, are the first series made in resemblance to the opposition of the KBT and KWG series.

Description

Smilodonad is a Medarot that resembles a saber tiger. As such it has its Flexor Sword part, which deals a large amount of damage. The Straw Hammer is great for speed attacks, but it is somehow weaker than its other arm. The Hunter Part allows Smilodonad to protect itself from any shooting attacks.

In the games

Note: In Medarot 3 and 4 stats, including Medachange, a stat listed as a / b (for example 1 / 2) means that the stat a belongs to Medarot 3, while the stat b belongs to Medarot 4.

In Medarot 2

It appears as Koji's first Medarot. Later, he backups his Smilodonad with Medarots like Searchrat.

Strategy

Smilodonad uses Shot Traps on the first turn of every Robattle he is in, allowing him to damage an opponent's Leg Parts. He is also able to deal heavy damage with his claw arm known as the Flexor Sword, a Reckless attack that leaves him open to enemy fire. If you are fighting Kouji for the first few times, try countering with boosting Metabee's power with Berserk, and be sure to destroy Smilodonad's Flexor Sword, then Damage the rest of his body.

If you are well into the game, transfer Smilodonad or Rokusho from the parts collection of you have played it or use your own Smilodonad or Air-Ptera and counter Kouji's Smilodonad that way.

In Medarot 2 Parts Collection

It, together with Warbandit, is one of the two first Medarots the player can have. He is obtained from the first floor of Fiyun Tower when Ikki chooses the 'Tiger' when the Aliens give him a choice between two Medarot.

If not selected this way, Smilodonad is later acquired on the 20th floor, where it is given to Ikki by Kirara in her Retort Lady guise.

In Medarot R

He is obtainable from the Part Collection by fighting コウジ (Koji) that is ranked opponent number 3.

He is fought thrice in the story, once during the Medarot Tounament and once under the Roborobo's control, and once during a Medalink Robotlle.

In Medarot 3

In Medarot 4

The only way to acquire it is through an auction in Medaropolis, where they are also auctioning a King Medal. Kouji is also seen with his Smilodonad stored in his room, as he is now using Excize. It is a Kabuto version exclusive.

Metabee Shot

A Smilodonad is one of the selectable opponent in Metabee Shot.

Robattle 3D

Sumilidon is one of the Medabots featured in Robattle 3D.

In Medarot 8

Smilodonad makes a reappearance in Medarot 8 as a DLC-exclusive Medarot. It appears along with Warbonnet, Cyandog, and Nio-Heiko in the third DLC mission, which can be downloaded for 300 yen ($2.40).

Its model number is now STG00.

In the anime

Smilodonad is Kouji Karakuchi's Medarot, known for his quiet demeanor—he speaks only when necessary or addressed directly. Despite his reserved nature, he's a formidable contender in battles. Under the guidance of Space Medarotter X, he trained to master a unique ability using the Flexor Sword part, known as the Shadow Sword. During a Robattle against the U.S.A. Team, Smilodonad demonstrated the use of Medaforce, specifically the Tate Issen technique. This sparked speculation about the rarity of his Kuwagata Medal, but subsequent studies by Dr. Akihabara revealed it to be a clone Medal. The origins of Smilodonad's Medaforce usage remain unexplained, though Dr. Akihabara theorized ancestral connections to rare Medals as a potential explanation—albeit speculative. It's worth noting that Medarots in the games can access different Medaforces using various Medals.
