Bug Stink (バグスティンク) is a stink bug-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot Navi.
Description[edit]
Bug Stink is similar to Yellowturtle and Keithturtle in both appearance and ability. Its Head part allows it to defend nearby allies from attack, while its Left and Right Arms feature extremely powerful Beam weapons. Said Beams have a massive AP cost (requiring Bug Stink to be parked on one of the map's Generators, or simply having high-level Medals) and an even bigger minimum range, leaving it helpless against almost all opponents in a one-on-one Robottle.
In the presence of allies, however, Bug Stink fits cleanly into a ranged support role. Its Head has a massive HP reserve to pair with its Defense ability. Its Beam attacks, meanwhile, can blow away most parts in one shot - if the attack connects. Its Leg part is Heavy.
Bug Stink is incapable of Medachange. It does, however, have a Change-capable upgrade in the form of Bug Shield.
In the games[edit]
[edit]
Bug Stink is the signature Medarot of Gousetsu, a strong but dimwitted student at Kasumi's school who is rarely seen without his accomplice, the intelligent (but cowardly) Mizore. The two are bullies, picking on Kasumi and challenging him to Robottles against his Windclap, Far East (mirroring Ikki's encounters with Kagamiyama of the Screws in Medarot 2). When they both lose handily, they steal Far East's medal and run away.
With the class trip to Cluster (and subsequent crisis) Gousetsu and Mizare are met in a desert ruins module and are Robottled once again - the two of them together versus Kasumi and the soldier Fubuki. With their defeat comes a newfound respect for the lady soldier; the two take Fubuki as their leader and return Kasumi's East Medal.
From that point, Gousetsu's Bug Stink and Mizare's Sickle Cutter are mainstays of Kasumi's student body. One of the Parts Research modules near the end of Cluster can be used to replace Bug Stink with the Medachange-capable Bug Shield.
