Trap Spider (トラップスパイダ) is a spider-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description[edit]

Trap Spider resembles a yellow and black spider with a large triangular head. It has 6 legs on its leg parts for a total of 8 limbs, and 6 dot-like eyes instead of a face. Trap Spider's main function is shooting net traps from cannisters on its arms to ensnare opponents attempting to use close-range attacks.

In the games[edit]

Trap Spider is a multi-legged Medarot that specializes in Fight Traps. It has relatively low armor, but its legs give it higher than average dodging ability. Although Trap Spider has no attacking parts, its leg parts make it strong with physical attacks.

Trap Spider's parts have the Set-up attribute in all of the games where it appears, allowing it to perfectly match with the Spider Medal in Medarot 1, 2, and R, and the Beast Medal in Medarot Navi.

In Medarot 1[edit]

Trap Spider's parts can be obtained from random battles, or bought from a convenience store at the Medal Excavation Site.

In Medarot 2[edit]

Trap Spider is not normally obtainable in Medarot 2, and has to be transferred over from Medarot 1. It was replaced with the new SPI-type, Shoot Spider. Trap Spider was not included in the Medarot 2 Core remake.

In Medarot R[edit]

Is obtainable from the Parts Collection by fighting メダロッター12 that is ranked opponent number 13.

In Medarot Navi[edit]

In this game, Trap Spider uses its redesign from the Medarotter Rintarou manga and its model number is SPD-0BH. Its parts can be found in treasure boxes hidden around Cluster's blocks in the Kuwagata version (the Kabuto version gets Searchrat instead).

The locations are:

  • Head: Forest Block
  • Right: Grassland Block
  • Left: Fairy Tale Woods Block
  • Legs: Insect Field Block
