For the Medabots Research Center, both Research Institute and Laboratory are valid translations for 研究所 (Kenkyuusho). Although its theme music is titled "Institute", I think Laboratory is better because the building has "lab" written on its door in this game, and the theme's version for the lab in Medarot 7 (different city, but also being a "Medarot Kenkyuusho" where Dr. Medarot and Nae can be found) is titled "Medarot Lab". --Metal Beetle (talk) 14:37, 10 August 2024 (MDT) | For the Medabots Research Center, both Research Institute and Laboratory are valid translations for 研究所 (Kenkyuusho). I've made the change for now, but depending on how the translation of M7 turns out, I might revert it back to "Research Institute" here. The same location can have different names across various games, so it's appropriate to use the specific name on each game's page. A name change in one game doesn’t automatically apply to previous games. I see, like Robottle pre-DS and Robattle post-DS. But it would be good to keep the name consistent when possible, as it is also called a laboratory in the Medarot 1 location list, and Medarot Lab in the Medarot R fan translation. --Metal Beetle (talk) 19:55, 14 August 2024 (MDT) |

Laboratory or Research Institute?[edit]
For the Medabots Research Center, both Research Institute and Laboratory are valid translations for 研究所 (Kenkyuusho). Although its theme music is titled "Institute", I think Laboratory is better because the building has "lab" written on its door in this game, and the theme's version for the lab in Medarot 7 (different city, but also being a "Medarot Kenkyuusho" where Dr. Medarot and Nae can be found) is titled "Medarot Lab". --Metal Beetle (talk) 14:37, 10 August 2024 (MDT)
I've made the change for now, but depending on how the translation of M7 turns out, I might revert it back to "Research Institute" here. The same location can have different names across various games, so it's appropriate to use the specific name on each game's page. A name change in one game doesn’t automatically apply to previous games. This means that on the older games' location pages, it would be listed as "Research Institute," but on the M7 locations page, it would be referred to as "Laboratory."
