Windclap (ウィンドクラップ) is a gryphon-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot Navi. It is based upon a Gryphon, a mythological creature.

Description[edit]

Windclap excels in high-speed medium-strength offense at both close and medium range. Its Right Arm carries an extremely nimble Sword attack for melee combat. Its Left Arm mounts a Rifle attack for ranged combat. Its Head Part can remove any negative Status from itself or a nearby ally (or enemy).

Windclap is incapable of Medachange.

In the games[edit]

In Medarot Navi[edit]

Kasumi uses a Windclap named "Far East" as his Medarot. Using an East Medal, Kasumi is challenged by two bullies of his class, Gousetsu and Mizore. The ensuing two Robottles against Bug Stink and Sickle Cutter act as tutorials to the player.

After winning both battles, Kasumi's East Medal is stolen by Mizore who runs off with Gousetsu. Unable to catch the two, Kasumi is left without a functional Medarot... until a strange voice calls out to him from the old, abandoned schoolyard in back.

Though Kasumi retains Far East's parts and Tinpet, it is not until the rematch with Gousetsu and Mizore that he (along with the lady soldier Fubuki and her Ptolemy) defeats the two in a 2-on-2 Robottle. The two bullies become infatuated with Fubuki and offer to be her subordinates; she reluctantly agrees and the two return Kasumi's East Medal.

Some of Kasumi's opponents later in the game also feature Windclaps, allowing the player to build multiple instances of the gryphon Medarot (or replace lost parts if neccesary).

In Medarot 8[edit]

Windclap makes a reappearance in Medarot 8 as a DLC-exclusive Medarot. It appears along with Granbeetle, Teppen, and Sailormate in the fourth DLC mission, which can be downloaded for 300 yen ($2.40).

Its model number is now GLF00.
