Leo is a LEO-model Medarot whose sole appearance is in Medarot Navi. It is the signature Medarot of Newdo, one of the Space Robo generals. Its name and appearance are based upon Leo the Lion, fifth sign of the Western Zodiac.
Description
Its Head part, Pride, features an extremely strong Beam attack with penetration ability. Both of its Arm parts feature Missile attacks. Its legs are Float type for good performance on any terrain. In this way it fulfills a similar role to Arcbeetle, relying on its one-shot Optic weapon to clinch a battle while falling back on supplementary shooting attacks the rest of the time.
Leo also shares one of Arcbeetle's downsides: its Head part has a different Medal Compatibility than its arm attacks, meaning one or the other must operate at sub-peak efficiency. It is powerful nonetheless; being a Snipe weapon, its Pride head beam gains stronger Critical Hits, even beating the Providence laser for title of strongest part attack in the series.
Leo is not capable of Medachange.
Appearances
Leo and his Medarotter, the Space Robo general Newdo, are first encountered shortly after the Robattle with Shiden and his Ashton. Thanks to Navi's module Security mechanic, Newdo and Leo will likely be met in Robattle many times outside of their scripted appearances (of which there are only two before the final act begins).
