This file is a game asset image (specifically a [[:Category:s from |]]) from [[]]. It will be used on pages relating to the subject.
Medapedia claims no ownership of this image. Its use on this wiki constitutes fair use.
Description[edit]
This template should be used with all images of isolated game assets that don't fit into other categories. It places the above box in the image's description, as well as automatically categorizing it. You need to enter the name of the game the image is from, as well as the type of image (texture, background, type of icon, etc.), since it changes the text and categorizes the image accordingly.
To use this template, type {{gameasset-fairuse|Type of asset|Game the image is from}} in the summary box when uploading the image. Please use the singular (i.e. icon, not icons) so that the category is named correctly. (You can check the subfolders in Category:Game assets to see how existing categories are named).
For example, if you're uploading Medarotter icons from Medarot S, put {{gameasset-fairuse|Medarotter icon|Medarot S}}. The template will say "This file is a game asset image (specifically a Medarotter icon) from Medarot S" and categorize the image under "Medarotter icons from Medarot S", "Medarotter icons", and "Game assets from Medarot S". (You can also add/change the template after uploading by editing the image's page, but please try to get it right the first time!)
Note: These types of game asset images have their own specific templates, which you should use instead of this one if they apply:
Template | Use |
---|---|
Template:Medasprite-fairuse | Sprites and 3D models of Medarots |
Template:Medamodel-fairuse | |
Template:Charasprite-fairuse | Sprites and 3D models of characters |
Template:Charamodel-fairuse | |
Template:Charaportrait-fairuse | Dialogue portraits (humans and Medarots) |
Template:Medadesign-clean-fairuse | Artwork of Medarots with clear/white backgrounds |
Template:Medalimage-fairuse | Images of in-game Medals |
Template:Itemimage-fairuse | Images of in-game items |
Game screenshots (not isolated assets) should use Template:Gamescreen-fairuse instead.
