The '''Tortoise Medal''' is a [[Medal]] that was first intoduced in the original [[Medarot 1|Medarot game]]. 

Tortoise Medals specializes in lasers, beams, and other high-power attacks. Despite the name, the image on the Medal often resembles an aquatic turtle rather than a land-dwelling tortoise. In the earlier games, the image on the Medal changes from a turtle/tortoise hiding inside its shell to one with all of its limbs on display as it gains more experience.

== In Medarot 1 ==

The Tortoise Medal is one of the Kabuto version-exclusive Medals that can only be obtained through link battles. Players of the Kabuto version can get it by stealing another player's [[Unicorn Medal]] in an Official Robottle link battle, at which point it will transform into a Tortoise Medal. (Kuwagata players receive the [[Snake Medal]] instead.) The only way to obtain it in the Kuwagata version is by stealing an already-transformed Tortoise Medal.

The '''Turtle Medal''' is an evolution of the Tortoise Medal in Medarot 7 and 8.

It can be obtained in both games when a Tortoise Medal has a [[Protect (skill|Protect]] skill level of 9 or higher when it reaches level 18 (silver rank). If it doesn't meet the skill level requirement, it will stay a Tortoise Medal.
