:Welllll... Basically, transliterating names is pretty subjective, and in a lot of cases there's no way of knowing how they wanted the name to be spelled in english. The name is obviously intended to be from "Bayonet", but the katakana spelling is slightly different from normal, either because A) they were bad at english, or B) they wanted to make it sound more interesting in japanese. :When I argued to name it Bayonit, I hadn't been translating Medarot stuff for very long and still thought it would be possible to do a 100% faithful translation. >_>; (Spoilers: there's no such thing.)
