<!--This guide is extremely chaotic, mixing content from Medarot 2, 2 Core, the anime, and Medarot S. This "mix of everything" approach is more of a hindrance than a help. To be honest, much of these informations are pointless. For example, including bot serial numbers from the anime makes no sense, as these numbers don't appear in the games, not even in the localized versions. Mentioning the Medarot 2 episode in Medarot S is also unnecessary, as the game is more of a visual novel than an RPG with an overworld, which doesn't align with a guide focused on Medarot 2/2 Core gameplay. It also doesn't make sense to use the Medarot DS-9 numbering if the game is 2/2 Core.
The guide contains a lot of text, but none of it is practical. In the end, other guides on the internet are simpler and more useful. To the original author of this guide, remember that less is more. Focus only on Medarot 2 and 2 Core, covering their content and differences. Everything else is unnecessary and doesn't add anything "useful" for players of these games. If someone is curious to know what the Medabot serial was in the dub, this information already exists on other pages in appropriate sessions.
On the other hand, crucial information about the actions to increase Erika and Karin's affections is omitted in the guide. It's important to get Cat and ? medals and could frustrate any player if they discovered this side-quest too late, as 2 Core especially is quite inflexible with mistakes forcing the player to start the save from scratch every time they fails or forgets a important step.
The character naming in the guide is also inconsistent, it started with dub names as the default and then changed to Japanese names with dub names with "()".
For Medarot S, a separate guide is needed, focusing on translating menus and story dialogues, as the game is essentially a visual novel aside from the battles. Additionally, some information in the notes is incorrect. For example, Medarot Brave is not a sequel only to Medarot 2 Core. See the "Continuity and Placement" section of the games pages for more accurate information.
Insisting on these characteristics will simply result in the guide being edited by other people eventually to “clean up” the page.-->
This is a Guide for Medarot 2 / Medarot 2 Core or simply known as Medabots.

The year in this game is 2022, set ten years after the Ten Days of Darkness in Medarot 1 / Medarot Perfect Edition. Medarot 2 / Medarot 2 Core serves as a mostly standalone sequel to this game as barely anything about Medarot 1 is even talked about and it focuses on the new protagonist Ikki Tenryou. Medarot 2 was released for the Game Boy Color, though one could play it on the Game Boy Advance if they'd like.
A few notes: I listed the anime model numbers for those who watched the anime. The official model numbers are on the left, the English dub model numbers are on the right when introducing a Medabot. Medarot 1 Medabots, however don't appear as obtainable parts, but they do show up as enemies.

Medarot 2 has sequels in in the form of Medarot 3 and Medarot 4, so check them out if you're playing Medarot Classics Plus on Nintendo Switch.

Medarot 2 Core on the other hand, has a slew of sequels known as Medarot 3, Medarot 4 and finally, Medarot BRAVE, or Medabots Infinity in the US and PAL regions. It was released for the Nintendo Gamecube, and has Compatibility with this game. Medabots Infinity can by played on the Nintendo Wii due to backwards compatibility. Medarot 2, Medarot 3 and Medatrot 4 were never localized in the US.

Medarot 2 doesn't allow you to collect First Gen or Medarot 1 Medarots, and forces you to use upgraded versions of them, or wholly new Medarots for that era.
Medarot 2 Core, on the other hand has a mix of Medarot 1 and 2 Medarots, though it omits 21 original Medarots, including Metal Beetle, Head Scissors, Moon Dragon and others. Medarot 2 Core also omits 10 of the Second Gen Medarots that were upgrades of the 10 First Gen Medarots that replaced them in the game, even though both sets of Medarots mostly appeared in the anime in one way or another.

You need to go to the northern room from the enterance and go to the western room of the lab. If you do this, Ikki will enter a conversation with an old man, this man is Doctor Aki, a researcher on Medabots. He will ask what Ikki's name is, and Ikki will jog the man's memory. Dr. Aki will explain that he's busy right now, and directs Ikki to Nae's office in the lab. Once Ikki tries to go there he'l be knocked down by a rude Scientist --only for Nae to show up and talk sense into him.

For those who watched the anime for Medabots, you'll recognize that the scenario is different, and if you've seen only the first season, you might not recognize Nae.

In the Kuwagata version, I  would suggest that you get the Rabbit Medal so you can name it as Warbandit as a reminder to get Warbandit's parts. Be sure to get Warbandit's  head part Tension Up,  as Rokusho will get a speed boost, and you need a shooting Medabot, so be sure to get the Battle Rifle for another reason other than this one.
If you got a Monkey Medal,  It only focuses on Interrupt the highest, and those who watched the anime will realize that technically, the Monkey Medal in Medarot 2 and 2 Core has the Shoot, Strike, Support and Disrupt skills, but its Disrupt skill is the highest, so if you think about it, Iwanoi should have trained Cyandog to use shooting parts before having him fight.

Once you get the Medal leave. You only have six times to get all six Medals and if you miss one, you will not get until later.

A thing you should do is balance your team, so if you have Metabee, get Grappling Medarots like Smilodonad (Sumilidon) to round out your team, and vice versa for Rokusho players.

I suggest that your team’s Medal levels are at least 35 to 45, so that they are strong enough to fight them. If you have Saintnurse’s Head Part ‘’Holy Wall’’, use it on your female Medarot and set Grap traps for the Zorin, or Bring Sumilidon in and trap Bayonet multiple times and later use the Medaforce Double Trap while you are using Saintnurse to defend and making sure the team doesn't get damaged, and Metabee makes Bayonet take a heavy hit from his Medaforce Issei Shageki.

Go to the roller coaster attraction through the left entrance. Head up and you will have a fun short roller coaster ride. Now, exit the building and then exit right. After a conversation about a suspicious camera flash, head left and talk to the boy there. Head up and search the middle bush. A Rubberobo thug will come out of it, but he'll run away again.

Go to the northern area of Medarot Island and go to the pavilion near the Castle attraction.

Ikki will see Karin and other people entering the castle, and Erika mentions a Rappy Doll given to the one who plays the ‘Hero’ in the Castle event.

Arika will give Ikki 300 yen, and will ask him to buy her some Orange Juice. This is the next leg in the Medal Quest, so read the next part carefully.
Exit down and go right to see a booth. Talk to the shopkeeper there and buy Orange Juice for 300 yen if you want Arika's ending. Or buy Motor Oil if you want Karin’s ending, either way, it will matter if you want the Cat or ? Medals.

After talking to Arika, you’ll automatically enter Milky's Castle.
